Dar Liouba is a meeting
of two designer minds. Created by a Russian furniture designer
and a Chinese jewellery designer, Dar Liouba is a French colonial
style house in the Atlantic coastal town of Essouira. This four-storey
town house is centred around a wooden pergola that rises in the
middle the house, creating an air and luxurious atmosphere. The
house has a wonderfully octagonal shaped interior giving the house
an unusual aspect.
Dar Liouba has six bedrooms for accommodation;
each room has its own bathroom and balcony looking down into the
interior garden. The top floor suite is only a few steps beneath
the expansive roof terrace that overlooks the city.
2 and half hours transfer time from Marrakech,
Essaouira is one of the nicest cities in Morocco, a small fishing
port that has lived under Portuguese influence in the 18th century,
under English influence at the beginning of the 20th century.
Its beaches are covered with extremely thin
sand and you can enjoy a microclimate ensuring a permanent freshness
in spite of the everlasting sun. Wind crossing in the area makes
very happy the people fond of aquatic sports: sailing, wind surfing
and kite surfing.
